Insurance & Payment
Northvale Psychiatry is a self-pay practice and does not currently participate in insurance networks, including Medicare and Medicaid. Payment is required before scheduled appointments.
Patients with eligible private insurance may request a detailed superbill after their appointment for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Patients submit superbills directly to their insurers. Reimbursement depends on individual plan benefits and is not guaranteed.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your healthcare will cost.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, patients who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their insurance generally have the right to receive a written estimate of expected charges for non-emergency healthcare services.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an appointment. When an appointment is scheduled at least three business days in advance, a written estimate is generally required within the applicable timeframe.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute that bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
